About Us

Arrow Bikes first opened its doors in April 2011.

Our vision was clear - to own and operate a customer-focused bike shop.

It was a simple vision, but one that we fulfill in a number of ways:

First and foremost, our shop is dedicated to looking after the locals of Arrowtown and Queenstown, as well as the visitors. A large number of tourists visit this region every year and bike shops can become very tourist-focused leaving the locals feeling overlooked. We ensure that our shop is a place where everyone, both locals and visitors, have time to chat about their biking needs and not feel like they are being rushed out the door.

The heart of our store is the workshop and we pride ourselves on offering the best quality mechanics in the region to ensure that you and your bike receive the best service possible. We operate a small close-knit team so you will always know who is looking after you and your bike.

As with any bike shop, we sell parts, accessories and bikes to our customers. However, we are of the firm belief that the customer always comes first. If you are keen to buy a new bike or to discuss a custom build, we will offer you our honest recommendations based on the type of riding that you do. Our main concern is that you are on the right bike. We will not try to sell you anything that you don't need or want.

We are one of the few bike shops in the area that is open all year round. Unlike other stores, we do not switch over to ski/snowboard sales and rentals in the winter. This is because our shop is dedicated to biking and is owned by people who love riding bikes. We may live in a ski town, but we ride our bikes all year round, so we make sure that you have access to a bike shop all year round.

We are passionate about the trails within the region and believe that it is just as important to create new trails as it is to ride them. Because of this, we have dedicated countless hours to building and maintaining some of the key trails in and around Queenstown and Arrowtown. These include Slip Saddle / Bush Creek Trail (Corotown), the Remarkables Tollgate and Stoney Creek Trails and Murphy's Run. If you are keen to ride any of these trails and would like to know more information from the people who actually built and maintain them, please see the Trails section of this website or contact us directly.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. If you have any queries regarding any of the brands / services that we offer, please don't hesitate to call, email or visit us.
